The show was guest hosted by Garry Connolly, president of Data Centre industry group &#8218;Host in Ireland&#8216; and featured a panel also comprising a number of leading industry experts including Maurice Mortell of Equinix, Valerie Walsh of Digital Reality, Anthony McDermott of Mitchel McDermott, Dave McAuley and John Coroner of Ethos Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Carthy commented on a variety of aspects affecting the industry including the importance of knowledge transfer and FDI in Ireland, stating &#8222;Ireland benefited more than any other country in Europe from foreign direct investment in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and we did what we always do [in Ireland] and we learned very quickly. When [our clients] moved into Europe, we went with them &#8230; relationships are hugely important, and trust. You bring the lessons learned and the knowledge transferred from one project to the next.
