Scope of the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced SAP Business Analyst with 3-5 years’ experience working specifically in both MM/SD & Ariba. This is a newly generated role within our growing SAP team. The successful candidate will report to the SAP Team Lead.
This SAP Analyst job will be fully onsite for term of probation, with a hybrid work model to be discussion on completion of probation.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Provide end user support for the SAP application, with emphasis on MM & Ariba SLP & SLM
- Investigate and resolve support calls raised by the business.
- Carry out configuration as required to meet business requirements.
- Liaise with the third-party support partners in the efficient resolution of support calls escalated.
- Identify opportunities where the solution can be optimized to deliver high returns to Mercury.
- Support applications across the Mercury business such as SAP Project systems.
- Assist with the support and maintenance of the SAP application in MM & IM
- Take ownership for and work on SAP projects within the team as appropriate.
- Deliver end user training in bespoke cumulative billing system and job management as required by the business.
- Highlight any support calls that require escalation to third party support for resolution, to the Mercury SAP Team Lead and/or BA Manager, with the required level of information to allow call to be escalated.
- Close out all support calls with the end user who originated the call in a timely manner.
- Maintain all required information in Mercury Support Desk Solution to support application support process.
- Fulfil authorisations and role management requests as needed.
- Liaise with third party application consultants in the specification, development and testing of enhancements / modifications to the SAP solution.
- Complete knowledge transfer for respective application area to other members of support team as appropriate.
- Work with the business to elicit and map Ariba requirements and make recommendations on best practice and implementation approaches.
- Implement additional Ariba modules ensuring high quality project management, test management and cutover.
- Provide support and assistance for the ongoing roll out of SAP S/4 HANA across the Mercury Group.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
We are seeking an individual with 3-5 years’ experience in SAP MM and SD, as well as hands-on experience in Ariba (specifically required is experience in SLP, Buying, Sourcing and SCC).
- 3-5 years’ experience in SAP MM/SD with strong knowledge of customisation & configuration, SAP service POs & process and stock management
- 3+ years’ experience in Ariba implementation of and supporting business needs relating to SLP, Sourcing, Buying and SCC
- Excellent multi-tasker with resilience to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Experience working with external service integration partners and consultants.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.
- Ability to understand business needs, guide and influence stakeholders based on best practice then translate functional and technical requirements into suitable documentation such as requirements documents, RFPs, and business case recommendations.
- Strong cross-functional & technical SAP knowledge (MM, PS) e.g. knowledge of integration points into FI & CO.
- The following experience is not essential, but would be considered a distinct advantage:
- Experience integrating other business systems with SAP such as Fiori.
- Experience or exposure of S4 HANA migration project.
- Basic ABAP coding knowledge
- Knowledge of MRP
- Understanding of Fleet, Tool, and Plant
- Exposure or insight into Fieldglass
- Project Management and Change Management
- Experience of MM in construction industry desirable
