Scope of the Role:

The purpose of this job is to develop and implement a co-ordinated maintenance schedule for daily operations at the data centre. The Maintenance schedule is the key operational process that ensures tasks are properly planned and a strict regime of work execution is implemented by the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Responsible to develop the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for a colocation data centre
  • Scheduling and resourcing each activity in the maintenance program
  • Management and co-ordination of the change management process to ensure all work carried has been approved by the CAB (Change Approval Board) before execution
  • Ensuring the maintenance program complies with the overall asset management strategy for the client
  • Scheduling the maintenance contractors (Typically 20-30 vendors) into the maintenance program
  • Ensuring that work packs are developed and ready for maintenance contractors to enter the building
  • Ensuring co-ordination of security access requests and approvals for all subbies entering site
  • Responsible for review and close out of all maintenance work packs on completion of a subbie maintenance task
  • Responsible for planning & implementing any future remedial work tasks following routine maintenance PPMs
  • Management of the site incident emergency escalation notification process to ensure Mercury adhere to contracted KPI timeframes
  • Ability to level a 52-week maintenance schedule
  • Schedule risk identification and mitigation
  • Communicate to the team the schedule status and forward look ahead 
  • Lead the planning agenda during the contract manager’s weekly planning meeting where the planner will report on the scheduled tasks for the week and the resourcing required
  • Develop and issue maintenance completion status reports on weekly/monthly basis
  • Co-ordination of the shift roster for 12 person shift team
  • Report and recording of any delays to the maintenance schedule

Key Criteria for the Role:

  • 3-5 years’ experience essential in an industrial maintenance background, preferably in Oil & Gas
  • Previous experience of a customer-facing role using operating systems such as MAXIMO, Concept FM, IFS or similar CAFM software systems
  • Previous experience with Service Now preferable
  • Self-motivated and systematic
  • Results/ task orientated, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Committed to customer service delivery
  • Be flexible to work outside core office hours from time to time
