Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Planning Department Management group
  • Responsible for a portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
  • Responsibility for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
  • Reporting to Planning Department
  • Reporting to Business Unit
  • Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff
  • Training for OMs, PMs, CMs & construction teams in planning related topics
  • Supporting other functional departments, such as business development \ bids \ tenders
  • Ensuring that appropriate planning & progress systems are in place on each project
  • Ensuring KPIs on projects are at desired levels
  • Auditing progress on site
  • Troubleshooting planning issues
  • Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
  • Advising on and developing best practice for the company
  • Improving and advancing planning within the company
  • Assisting with Planning Department innovation initiatives
  • Travelling to projects, as required, in order to carry out the above
  • Covering Senior Planning Manager responsibilities when required
  • Covering Senior Project Planner / Project Planner responsibilities when required
  • All other duties associated with role
