At Mercury, we drive a culture of wellbeing that enables our people to succeed and thrive.

The physical and mental wellbeing of our employees is of supreme importance. By cultivating a positive and engaging working environment that supports and nurtures, we believe that our staff are better placed to deliver top-class results.

Our employee wellbeing strategy is built to reflect the following pillars:

Mercury's teams take part in a number of regular wellbeing & safety initiatives across all projects internationally.

European Safety Week - Mercury celebrates safety week annually and is a safety week partner with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF). A number of live and virtual events and toolbox talks on a variety of safety & wellness initiatives every year across all projects & office locations.

Mental Health First Aid Training - Mercury regularly delivers Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training in collaboration with Mental Health First Aid Ireland across its projects. MHFA is the help offered to a person who is experiencing or developing a mental health problem or crisis until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves. Making Safety Personal - Mercury’s health & safety culture is recognised as industry leading worldwide. From our senior management to our trades and apprentices, safety is embedded in our DNA and our daily work practices. We believe that making safety personal through the use of behavioural psychology programmes is key to reducing on-site accidents. Read more here.

Workplace Wellbeing Day - Mercury staff across Europe are taking part in a number of wellness initiatives for Workplace Wellbeing Day annually. Initiatives include interactive online gym classes and virtual coffee breaks and fun team-bonding events such as 'Formal Friday'. Read more here.

Our workplace health and fitness initiatives deliver a beneficial environment for our staff.

We provide our employees with a range of health and life insurance group scheme options and discounts, while we offer a diverse range of sports clubs and social activities from hillwalking and soccer to cycling.

This encourages our employees to connect with their colleagues and discover new interests in a fun, relaxed environment.

We also regularly host in-person & virtual fitness classes from our Dublin HQ's Gym, while our global staff are invited to take part in regular sporting events organised and sponsored by Mercury.
