Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
At Mercury, we recognise the diversity of the different regions and industries in which we work and adapt our working practices to accommodate those differences accordingly. Our success in recent years has led to continuous growth, new opportunities and expansion into brave new territories and markets.
Who we Support:
The Temple Street Foundation
“On behalf of our little patients and their parents, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the staff and customers of Mercury for continuing to help our little heroes. Here in Temple Street, our one important goal is to help save the lives of critically ill children in Ireland, now and for generations to come. Your support ensures we can do this – by purchasing equipment which helps save lives every single day. The vital funds raised by Mercury employees and customers are a lifeline for so many of our little patients. You are their lifesaver.”
CEO of Fundraising for Temple Street
Irish Cancer Society
“On behalf of everyone at the Irish Cancer Society, I’d like to say a huge thanks to all of the staff at Mercury Engineering, who as part of their ‘Be Brave – Stand Up to Cancer’ campaign have raised over €41, 000 to support people affected by cancer throughout Ireland. These incredible funds will go towards our night nursing service, our volunteering driving service, our cancer nurse line and will also fund vital cancer research.”
The Irish Cancer Society
Mercury are proud supporters of Darkness into Light and have taken part over the past several years, matching each Mercury employee registration with a donation directly to Pieta House. We also host our yearly Jack Clancy Cup, an intercompany 5-a-side tournament is raising money for Pieta House.
Local sports teams & athletes
We believe you have to be brave to achieve incredible things, that's why Mercury backs local teams & athletes across Europe & Ireland including Frankfurt GAA, Cuala GAA Dublin, Power Lifter Robert Powell and many more.
DC's for Bees
Mercury is an active participant in the DC's for Bees initiative, a sustainability initiative of the Irish Data Centre community, supported by the Native Woodland Trust to preserve bees in Ireland. Of the 98 species of bee in Ireland, almost one third are threatened with extinction. The decline is escalating in some species, in particular, the bumblebee, set to decline by 90% by 2050. We are proud to be part of the first industry initiative to come together even with our competitors to take meaningful action. Not only is it the right thing to do, but we also want to inspire other industries to take action and be a part of the solution.
