We’re delighted to announce that we recently completed work on the FRA 10.2 Data Centre project at Wilhelm Fay Strasse Frankfurt, Germany. The project was completed with our partner Digital Realty, a leading global provider of data centres. The project was led by Mercury’s Alan Clinton, Director, Enterprise Data Centres BU2 with John Crawford acting as the Operations Manager and Patrick Watters as the Project Manager.
Mercury is delighted to be working with Digital Realty on this project. Digital Realty supports the data strategies of more than 2,300 organisations across its secure, network-rich portfolio of over 210 Data Centres in more than 13 countries worldwide, across North and South America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
Mercury has acted as the general contractor on this engagement, with Arup acting as the consultant engineer and Dress & Sommer as the project manager. KuA Architects were the architects on this project.
Located within an established data centre hub in the northwest of Frankfurt, Digital Realty’s Wilhelm Fay Strasse facility includes a campus of three buildings totalling 180,000 square feet of technical space. Each building provides six data suites of 10,000 square feet together with 60,000 square feet of ancillary space including dedicated offices, de-box rooms, test rooms and dedicated plant areas. The facility sits on a substantial site of circa six acres. A campus power supply of 40MVA allows the provision of a campus total of 27MW of delivered IT power equally divided across the three buildings.
