From Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 March 2019, Mercury hosted an exhibition at the Ireland Skills Live career fair in the RDS, Simmonscourt, Dublin 4. The event was a great opportunity to showcase career opportunities at Mercury, in particularly its Apprenticeship Programmes.

The event was supported by Ireland’s Higher Education Authority (HEA), Solas, and the Department of Education and Skills and featured many of the leading engineering and construction employers in the country. Ireland Skills Live offers a unique opportunity for school-leavers and their advisors to explore a myriad of career options.

Apprenticeships with Mercury

Mercury is one of Ireland’s largest employers of mechanical and electrical apprentices. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, our apprentices are awarded a FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) National Craft Certificate, giving our apprentices the national and international recognition required to succeed in their careers. Mercury also take on several Trainee Data Technicians who undergo a 3-year training program equivalent to an apprenticeship whereby they will learn the principal roles and responsibilities of a Data Technician. As one of Europe’s leading engineering companies we also provide path ways to lasting careers for many new graduates every year, using the skills and experience of one generation of construction professionals to nurture and develop the next. To read about our graduate programmes, click here.
